Is this genius marketing or just plain lazy?

Something I’ve seen as I crawl the web researching how agents can create effective online marketing, is the number of agents that have very similar looking branding/logo’s. In some cases, this is no coincidence…

Here are just three examples of the branding/logo’s in question which are green and yellow and comprise an outer circle with letters inset.

You don’t need to be too clever to work out that these agents have based their own logo’s on that of the hugely successful London estate Agent Foxtons.

Whilst they have had a tough time over the last few years, it would be hard to deny that Foxtons are a successful agent and many agents watch them closely, as they have in the past led the way in terms of marketing and online activity (You can read more about their history here).

Two examples of this are the famous Foxtons mini’s which arrived on our streets in 2001 and nowadays most UK towns have at least one estate agent with branded vehicles. And who can overlook that way back in 1982 they launched their 0% commission incentive which they are still using down to this day when they open an office in a new area.

My question to you is do you think their is any value in other agents having such similar branding or logos?

Genius or just plain Lazy?

  1. Foxtons are on poll positions on google with “flats to rent london” search.
So it means that they are professionalist in rentals, in marketing and probbably are really well-known around the customers
